This system operates in a frequency range from 20Hz to 300Hz, and the high-voltage reactor is fixed inductance, form resonance with capacitive test load by frequency converter power supply, and provide undistorted sinusoidal AC resonance test power.
The SF6 GIS variable frequency high voltage test system can be directly flanged to the test object. The high-voltage reactor is SF6-insulated and features a high output voltage and has a compact, lightweight design. The test system and test object become a closed system with a low PD background noise level when directly flanged. This feature makes the model ideally suited for sensitive PD measurements.
As part of a series resonant circuit, these systems provide undistorted AC high voltage. And because the systems are designed to have high quality factor (Q), low input power is required (1/Q) which results in lower installation and operating costs.
