FIVESTAR HV TESTING EQUIPMENT, operating in the electricity industry, specializes in developing and providing high-voltage testing equipment, including AC Dielectric, HV DC Voltage, Impulse Voltage, Impulse current and other special tests. We offer comprehensive solutions for research, manufacturing, or maintenance purposes.
Using resonance between capacitive test object and inductive HV reactor of the test system to generate a continuous sinusoidal high voltage in 50/60Hz, resonant system is eighter and more economic than AC test transformer systems because only the lossed in test circuit must be coverd by power supply. Cylinder modular reactor enables connection in series or in parallel for extending the range of voltage and current.
Cylinder modular type power frequency HVAC resonant test systems are designed to compensate capacitance in testing circuit precisely by adjusting inductance of HV reactors, and output continuous AC voltage of power frequency (50/60Hz), mainly for factory testing of high and ultra-high voltage cables, power transformers, GIS, etc.
They use resonance between capacitive test object and inductive HV reactor of test system, adjust inductance of HV reactor to form a series resonant circuit with test load, resulting in an ideal sinusoidal resonance voltage. The natural resonance frequency of test circuit is matched to feed-in mains frequency 50/60 Hz by tuning inductance of HV reactor.
The oil-cooled HV reactor is installed in a closed container made of steel and insulating cylinders.
The module setup enables you to connect the reactors in series or in parallel for extending the range of voltage and/or current. The individual modules can be installed above or next to one another.
As part of a series resonant circuit, these systems provide undistorted high voltage. And because the systems are designed to have high quality factor (Q), low input power is required (1/Q) which results in lower installation and operating costs.
The test system is mounted on the trailer, and facilitate to be transported to field for testing.
